Maria van Peenen is born on the 23th of September 1802 in Schoondijke , Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Zeeland the Netherlands. [1] She was the daughter of Jacob Van Peenen and Janna Kole. Maria married Abraham Wemelsfelder in Schoondijke on the 6th of February 1833. [2] They lived in Schoondijke were all of there children were born.

Mary died February 3, 1886 and is buried with her husband in the East Williamson Cemetery, East Williamson, New York. [5]
